Bringing music to communities. And community to music.

Our community is a strong, diverse, and supportive network of music enthusiasts, businesses and organizations, and industry professionals committed to making the music industry a place of collaboration and connection.

Whether it’s connecting artists with local audiences, building professional networks of inspired musicians, or finding local venues for artists to showcase their talent, we believe in supporting our community and helping the people in it to flourish.

GET INVOLVED

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSICIAN

Book a Show.

Are you looking to book a talented local musician for an upcoming show or event?

We have an extensive network of past and current emerging artists and local musicians who
do performances in a broad range of musical genres. When you book a musician with the Prophets of Music, proceeds go directly to the musicians.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

If you have a passion for music and your community, we’d love for you to join our team of volunteers! Send us an email indicating your interest. We’ll follow up to answer any of your questions and let you know how you can get started.

Do I need to be a musician or have industry experience to volunteer?
Absolutely not! Many of our volunteers do have experience in the music industry, however we
welcome the help of any person passionate about music and their community. Also, we are often looking for help from individuals with skill sets in a number of industries that may not pertain directly to music but are still relevant to the everyday work of our organization.

Is there a fixed time commitment?
There is no fixed time commitment. Many of our volunteers work on a flexible basis and lend their time and support when different program and project needs arise.

BRING US A MUSIC FOR GOOD INITIATIVE

If you have a community initiative that does good through music and need assistance in developing your project, we would love to help. Before you send us a note, please check to see that your project meets one or more of our criteria for ‘Music for Good’ initiatives.

Does your project promote a lasting or positive impact in the community?

We like to support projects that can demonstrate a positive and lasting impact in the communities they serve. Some examples would include public infrastructure projects that feature a permanent or semi-permanent space for hosting local music, or sponsorship of an after school musical education program for youth at risk.

Does your project connect local musicians with diverse audiences?
A large part of our mission involves supporting emerging artists in the local community and connecting these artists with diverse audiences, to showcase local talent and to give communities a sense of the exceptional level of talent right here in our backyard.

Does your project engage multiple stakeholders?
Our Music for Good projects typically engage more than one stake holder. Often projects will include artists and musicians, local benefactors, and community representatives who all have vested interests in paying the power of music forward.
